I-95 in Maine

Maine is rich in beautiful landscapes. The latter you can view out your window, but frequently requires a few stops and some extra time to better enjoy them. Our travels to the northeast have always been very limited. Our excuse: we hate toll roads (which are quite expensive if you have more than two axles). Recently, however, we bit the bullet and drove to Maine and found it is truly diamond country. (We use diamonds on our maps to indicate the locations of RV parks). Maine is covered with RV parks and some of them are really great - more for long term stays with all the bells and whistles (especially for the kids). And, in Maine, if you are not in a big hurry (a nd why should you be) there are great highways that will get you to most places avoiding the tolls. Except for all the flying bombers (insects) we really enjoyed Maine. Hope you do, too.
